Singledout – the Easy Way to Find Your Perfect Match

Even before speed dating and online dating became popular concepts in the modern world, Singledout has shown television viewers how to play the game of love. After two years, it was able to dominate the media and to give people an idea of what dating really means. It also became popular for building long-lasting relationships who want to give themselves another chance at love.

After the show became a phenomenal success, a book entitled MTVs Single Out Guide to Dating was released. It revealed what happened between winning couples and showed how the game show changed their lives. Avid fans of this television show loved how the book presented pure Singled Out info through a stimulating and captivating narrative.

Getting to know the Dating Pool

Singledout uses three rounds to help contestants find true love among 50 different finalists. In the first round, the Pickers use pre-determined categories to narrow down their options. Physical attributes, hobbies, and lovemaking preferences are only three of the different categories used in this round. The Picker and the remaining finalists will then proceed to the Keep Em or Dump Em round.

For the second round, the Picker will get the chance to ask each finalist some questions. Every time the Picker is satisfied with the answer of the finalists, he or she can keep them for the final round. Contestants who were dumped will not be shown to the Picker and the round continues until three finalists are left.

In the final round, the finalists and the Picker will need to answer questions that were prepared by the host. Every time a finalists answer matches with the Pickers, he or she gets the chance to move forward a walkway. The game continues until one of the finalists makes it to the specific circle where the Picker is sitting.

Revealing the finalist

After the dating pool has been narrowed down to only one finalist, the contestants are required to sit down with their backs against each other. The host reads a brief description of the winning finalist and carefully turns the chair around to reveal the face of the winning contestant. After meeting their date for the very first time, they get the chance to receive prizes that they can use for their first date.

Singledout was able to present endless possibilities for every person who wishes to find true love no matter what it takes.

SingledOut: Dating Game like No Other

One of the hit dating shows aired during the latter part of the 90s is SingledOut. This TV show was developed by MTV and was hosted by Jenny McCarthy and Chris Hardwick wherein two Pickers, a male and a female get to choose their dates by eliminating the rest of the dating pool according to various categories and questions. Usually the Pickers are separated from the potential dates by a screen and they can only get to see them when they are eliminated.

The Golden Ticket was later introduced in the show’s third season where the Picker can save an eliminated contestant using this ticket. This means that he or she can still advance to the next round. The next round will be a series of questions wherein the Picker determines who has the best answer and save them for the final round. There are some instances where the contestants are asked to do certain stunts and the Picker will decide on who will be eliminated based on their performance.

When only three contestants remain, they will advance to the final round where they will be given questions with two choices. Before the final round starts, the screen dividing the contestants from the Picker will be lifted to show a walkway that they will be stepping on every time they make a correct answer to get closer to the Picker. The one who gets the most answer will be the one to take the Picker out on a date. In the event that two players become tied, a winner will be picked out with a tie-breaker question.

According to singled out info, the previous host, Jenny McCarthy was replaced by Carmen Electra in 1997. Jenny starred in her own show and Carmen was the ideal substitute for the show SingledOut. There were some really good laughs and pranks that were dished out in the show which captured the audience’s attention far and wide. College students who were interested in going out on a date with the Picker did their best. With the fabulous prices being offered, it is no wonder that everyone wanted to have the chance to be on the show.
